WHI Hawaii

Hawaii's Big Island encompasses the natural wonders of flowing lava, rolling pastures, ancient forests, and diverse ecological treasures. The land created by volcanic force has long been a home for time-honored traditions of healing and rejuvenation. In 2002, World Healing Institute in Hawaii chose this extraordinarily beautiful island as the home for its programs for children from around the world. We have run five programs which welcomed children from the Philippines who received head and face surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, in collaboration with Operation Smile. The children prepared and recovered from surgery at the World Healing Institute site on Hawaii's Big Island, receiving individually tailored holistic services.

Our holistic healing programs in Hawaii offer expressive arts, body work, energy medicine, nature trips to volcanoes, and ocean experiences, all designed to integrate the body, mind, spirit, and environment. The children are supported throughout their stay by medical and surgical volunteers, holistic practitioners, energy healers, and community volunteers who offer their time and expertise.

Other programs that have been hosted at WHI Hawaii are the Guardian Angels program and hosting regular events with ARC.
